Hi everyone! It had been awhile since I announced the previous podcast episode. There had been a lot of things that have happened here in this beautiful city. Spring definitely brought out the best in Halifax: the people and attractions.

When looking through the unedited footage (they will be edited for future podcasts), I was distracted by a rare occasion. June 4th, had two trailer trucks were parked just outside the Halifax Public Gardens. In these trailers contained various sports cars: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Maserati. Owners of these luxury sports cars came from across Canada. The cars were in Halifax as a base for a road trip to Montreal (for Grand Prix racing event). The trip finished in Toronto (or will be … ).

But why was Halifax chosen? Nobody knew …

You do not normally see this kind of event in a maritime city such as Halifax. Nevertheless, the million-dollar cars certainly been a sight to see! They were parked in the courtyard area of the Paramount condominium complex on South Park Street (across from Public Gardens). Passers-by have shouted about, look at cars. Kids with their parents stared at them with awe. It is a rare opportunity to see them gather in Halifax for this once. Apart from attracting “big-ticket” concerts, this event is perhaps a sign of great things to come to Halifax.
